Citibank, one of the world's most well-known and globally recognised banks, needed to improve its counters service operations in Luxembourg and Belgium.
The Challenge
Citibank, Luxembourg, needed support systems to help with the following operational functions:
- Securities redemption processing
- Counter services for private bank customers
- FX/Travellers cheque transactions
- Internal account transactions
- Custodian management
Project 1 - Teller System, Luxembourg
Developed the bank's teller system to support the bank's counter service functions. Application functions supported included customer account debit/credit transactions, internal expenses, advances, and re-imbursements processing and reconciliation, and cash/travellers cheque foreign exchange transactions.
Project 2 - Securities Redemption Processing, Luxembourg
Development of the bank�s bond and coupon processing and payment system. Normal interest, maturity and call transactions were catered for and account postings information were electronically fed to Citibank, Zurich.
Project 3 - Custodian Administration, Luxembourg
The provision of analysis, design and system development services to meet the bank's custodian and investment services requirements. The business area relates to general custodian services of safekeeping and sale of securities.
Project 4 - Securities Redemption Settlement, Luxembourg
Provided analysis and development services relating to the administration and collection of funds from security issuers by the paying agents after maturity payments have been made. Functions developed to capture and prepare additional information required electronic transfer to Citibank, London.
Project 5 - Teller System, Belgium
Citibank, Luxembourg provided the framework from which this project evolved to create a localised solution.
Project 6 - Securities Redemption Processing, Belgium
Starting with the Citibank, Luxembourg, framework, local requirements were analysed and built into the designed and delivered application.
